Trion City Schools returned to school this week after the winter break and they are also seeing a slight increase in COVID cases reported.

According to the report, there are two positive cases of coronavirus at Trion Elementary School; one case at Trion Middle School; five cases at Trion High School for a total of 8 cases in the school district. Additionally there are two Trion Elementary School staff members with positive cases of the virus.

These numbers do not include those quarantined due to contact tracing.

Prior to the winter break, Trions BOE closed due to COVID for a deep cleaning and fumigating.
