State Senator Chuck Hufstetler was recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution over the weekend in a feature story entitled “Who’s Who at the Gold Dome.”

Hufstetler, a Republican from Rome, represents a portion of Chattooga and Floyd Counties in the Georgia State Senate.

He is an anesthesiologist at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

The AJC said of Hufstetler, “(He) rose quickly after being elected in 2012 and runs the committee that considers tax legislation and is one of the most active late-session panels at the Capitol.  He’s been involved in a wide range of issues, including healthcare and ethics, and he hasn’t been afraid to stand against his Republican colleagues on issues.”

Senator Hufstetler commented on the AJC recognizing his contributions to the General Assembly, and asked for prayers at the Georgia General Assembly gets underway today in Atlanta.
