A traffic stop for a busted taillight lead to one Chattooga County Man being arrested for a suspended license.
On New Years Eve, Chattooga County Deputies on patrol initiated a traffic stop at the United Community Bank in Trion due to the vehicle having a busted taillight on the drivers side. The driver, Mr. Steven McCaugh adivsed the Deputy that he did not have his drivers license on him and even if he did, they were suspended. Running McCaughs information through GCIC did indeed show that his license had been suspended in April of 2020 due to Child Support. Mr. McCaugh was asked to step out of the vehicle and was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
