Georgia Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. announced yesterday that the Jimmy Carter National Historical Park Redesignation Act, became law as of Friday.
Bishop said that the designation of President Carter’s boyhood home and farm along with Plains High School, the Plains Train Depot and the home where President and Mrs. Carter currently live will all be part of the National Historic Park.
President Carter said, ““It is a great tribute to our roots and our beloved community of Plains.”
