Becky Duke was honored with a celebration yesterday in honor of her 45 years of service with the Chattooga County Probate office.

Probate Judge Gary Woods wrote of Mrs. Duke on his Facebook page, praising her character and years of service. Duke was sworn in as Probate Judge after the passing of long time Judge Jon Payne in 2020, and oversaw this years many elections. Per Gary Woods:

Tomorrow will be Becky’s 45th year working in the Chattooga County probate office. Becky has held every job in the office and after the passing of Judge Payne in 2020 was appointed as Probate Judge. Becky carried on the work of the office including overseeing 3 elections. Today we had a celebration to recognize this great achievement. If you look up the definition of a Christian servant you will see Becky Duke. Thank you Becky for all you do for Chattooga County. Our county is blessed to have a lady like Becky Duke!
