A Trion man was arrested earlier this week for criminal trespass after he attempted to access property where a criminal trespass warning had already been issued.
On Monday, February 8th, Chattooga County Deputies responded to a call regarding a male on private property that he was not supposed to be on. The male subject had already left the scene in a white pickup truck, and was headed to B & B Market on Old Hwy 27. Deputies located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop, where the driver was identified as Matthew Beech.
Beech stated that the property was his mothers and he felt he had the right to his items on the property. Trion Police Officers arrived to stay with Beech, while Deputies went to speak with Eve Johnson at the residence. Johnson advised that Beech had been escorted off the property previously and had a criminal trespass warning for this.
Deputies then arrested Beech for criminal trespass and advised him that he was not allowed on the property again without law enforcement present.
