The Trion Lady Dogs came in second in region 7-1A last night, losing to Armuchee 57-56 in overtime.

The region championship game Wednesday night, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was held at Armuchee, with the girls taking the court at 7 p.m. The 4th quarter ended in a 50-50 tie sending the game into overtime.

The Lady Dogs came up just short at 57-56, giving them the second place trophy in region 7-1A. The Lady Dogs will host the first round of the State Championship at home the next week on either February 23rd or 24th. The exact date and time will be announced later.
