A Chattooga County resident has reported a debit card fraud last week for almost $400.

Last week Deputies met with Shirley Hughes who advised that someone was attempting to use her BB&T debit card for $399.89. The bank did not let the transaction go through and it was traced back to Ohio with the name of Jackson Cope as who used it. Hughes advised that this was not the first time this had happened and that she paid just paid the other charges and had not reported it. A report was placed on file of this incident.
