The Georgia Department of Transportation is reminding motorists in Chattooga County to expect delays on Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge.

The DOT has announced that, weather permitting, work will continue to repair the roadway at Taylor’s Ridge starting today, Monday, March 23rd.  The work this week will require that the southbound lane to be closed between 9 AM and 2:30 PM through Friday.

A pilot car will be used to pace the traffic over the ridge.

If possible, you may want to plan your route over the ridge before 9 AM or after 2:30 PM, or use Highway 100 as an alternate route.
