Chattooga County Sheriff Deputies investigated a report of deposit account fraud on Monday.

Deputies met with a woman who stated that her checking account had several fraudulent transactions showing on it. The transactions were listed to places like Bestbuy.com, Walmart.com, and Cash App. Eighteen total charges came in at over $5,000 in fraudulent charges.

Deputies have placed a report on file.
