A fender bender caused minor injuries and damage late last week, according to Summerville Police.

Summerville Police Officers responded to a traffic accident last Friday on Commerce Street in Summerville.

A Honda Accord, driven by Allie Thacker, slowed due to encountering slower traffic ahead of her. The Dodge Ram  pickup truck behind Thacker, driven by Charles Pope did not notice the slower traffic and failed to yield, causing Pope to hit Thacker.

Thacker was later taken by private vehicle to Redmond Regional Medical Center for neck and back pain. Charles Pope was cited for following too closely.
