Monday started the National Public Safety Telecommunicators week, honoring all those who work in the 911 centers across the nation.
National Telecommunicator’s Week is an annual event that gives recognition to public safety call center workers who have dedicated their lives in service to their communities.
The voice of the Communication Officer is the first voice you hear during what is possibly the worst moment in your life. Their work is often underpraised and stressful. Theirs is the voice of calm directions while sending help your way.
WZQZ thanks our local Chattooga County EMA and Communication Officers for all their hard work.
