U.S. Congresswoman Marjory Greene (R-Rome) may have self-funded the campaign that sent her to Washington D.C., but she won’t have to worry about dipping into her personal savings when she runs for re-election.  The 14th Congressional District Representative has raised over $5.9 million since going to Washington.

According to reports released this week, Greene’s contributions spike when the national media mentions her name.  That’s exactly what happened recently when the talk of forming an “America First Caucus” was circulated in the nation’s capitol.  The publicity around comments that the caucus would champion “Anglo-Saxon political traditions” were the headlines and Rep. Greene’s campaign coffer’s grew once again.

Since the first of the year, the congresswoman has raised over $3 million.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, about 40% of the congresswoman’s campaign funds are coming from out of state donors.
