The body of forty-nine year-old Christopher Cook, of Rome, was found dead in his vehicle at the Relax Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard Wednesday morning.

According to Floyd County Deputy Coroner John Hamilton the body was found just after 9 am.

Hamilton added that it was reported that someone was seen talking to him inside the vehicle around 11 pm Tuesday night.

He went on to say that the death appears to be drug related. Police stated that a bag of suspected fentanyl was found in his vehicle
