The City of Summerville city council will have a called meeting coming up tomorrow evening, Monday, May 3, 2021 at 5 PM at Summerville City Hall.

On the agenda, the council will discuss spending Tillotson Grant funds for equipment for the Summerville Fire Department at a cost of $6432.90.  Also, the council is expected to discuss the removal of the World War I “Doughboy” statue from the Chattooga County Memorial Home to Veterans Park in Summerville.   The council will also be discussing a document announcing their support of a roundabout to be build by the Georgia Department of Transportation at the intersection of Georgia Highway 48 and U.S. Highway 27 in downtown Summerville.
