Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has removed many remaining requirements for social distancing and masked employees at businesses, saying that the state’s efforts to control COVID-19 have been successful.  The new executive order took affect May 1, 2021. Kemp says social distancing is now only “strongly encouraged,” not required. Among other changes to Georgia’s rules:  Restaurants are no longer required to have any distance between tables or to have any employees wear a mask.
