The Summerville City Council will hold a called meeting coming up this evening at 5:30 PM at Summerville City Hall. On the agenda, the council will discuss spending Tillotson Grant funds for equipment for the Summerville Fire Department at a cost of $6432.90.  Also, the council is expected to discuss the removal of the World War I “Doughboy” statue from the Chattooga County Memorial Home to Veterans Park in Summerville.   The council will also be discussing a document announcing their support of a roundabout to be build by the Georgia Department of Transportation at the intersection of Georgia Highway 48 and U.S. Highway 27 in downtown Summerville.  You can see the complete agenda and instructions on how to attend the meeting virtually below:
