A Summerville man reported damages to his rental property this week, estimating the damages at over $1500.

The Summerville Police Officer reported that they met with Edward Hammitt regarding damage to his rental property on Henderson Street. Hammitt reported that there was multiple places of damage including missing window screens, and a broken door to the crawl space. Hammitt estimated that the cost of the damages totaled between $1500 and $2000. There was also a car not belonging to the current tenants at the residence.

Hammitt stated that he would be speaking with the magistrate judge and wanted a report placed on file.
