Trion High School graduation exercises will be held this evening for seventy-nine graduating seniors.  The graduation ceremony will be held at 8 PM at Sam R. McCain Stadium. 

Trion City School Superintendent Dr. Phil Williams told WZQZ News that this year’s graduating seniors are one of only three groups of seniors in the State of Georgia that started and ended the year without any virtual instruction.  Williams said, “I want to congratulate this group of seniors.  We have had to have some quarantines, but these students are completing the year with in-person instruction.  These students wanted to come to school and be with their friends.  These seniors have been an example to underclassmen and will take the lessons they have learned during  difficult year and be successful in the future.”

Dr. Williams also said that those planning to attend graduation should get to the stadium in Trion early to ensure a parking place.  Parking will be limited, and will be hard to find close to graduation time.

Also, there will be a short fireworks display after the last senior walks across the stage at tonight’s graduation exercises.
