An accident in Trion sent a man to the hospital via Lifeforce over the weekend.

The accident happened on Saturday on Highway 27 in Trion near the intersection of Penn Bridge Road.  The online news blog Northwest Georgia Scanner reported that the elderly driver of a Ford pickup truck told officers that he “just didn’t see” the motorcyclist.

According to family members, the motorcyclist was identified as Kenneth Martin.  Martin was airlifted to Erlanger Trauma Center in Chattanooga.  As of Sunday afternoon, his family was requesting prayer for Martin.

The accident is still under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
