Law Enforcement played a game of hide and seek this week, that ended with a local womans arrest for 2 counts of obstructing an officer.

According to reports from the Chattooga County Sheriffs Office, the responding Officer received a call regarding a potential domestic dispute. Arriving at the Highway 27 residence, Deputies met with Terry Reed, who explained that he and his girlfriend weren’t having an argument, they were just speaking loudly to each other.

Reed and his girlfriend, Lindsay Eleam Wiggins, were known to the Deputies as they had responded several times recently regarding domestic disputes between the couple. When asked where Wiggins was, Terry Reed told Deputies that she was in the backyard, however, she wasn’t. Reed pointed out a small trail to the Officers, who found Wiggins hiding down the trail.

While questioning Reed for a second time, Wiggins slipped off down the trail again, despite being given directions to stay in the backyard. A brief search did not locate Wiggins, who then popped out of the woods to begin yelling and cursing at Reed and the Officers again. Wiggins was placed in handcuffs, where she began to resist arrest, even managing to slip the cuffs once and trying to escape again. Wiggins was finally placed in the back of the squad car, where she was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.
