Summerville Main Street is seeking volunteers to assist in downtown events and projects throughout the year.  Summerville Main Street is part of the Georgia Main Street Program that exists to grow small businesses and preserve history in downtown areas across the state.

The Georgia Main Street Program began in 1980 as one of the original pilot state coordinating programs of the National Main Street Initiative launched by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  It is administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.  Locally, Susan Locklear serves as the Summerville Main Street Director.
