All eyes are on a tropical storm that formed in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina on Monday morning.

The storm system is bringing heavy rain and winds to the Georgia and South Carolina coastal areas and tracking in a northwest pattern across the state.  The heavy rain, winds and possible severe thunderstorms will likely have an impact on weather in our area bringing with it rain and thunderstorms.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Georgia expects our area to see locally heavy rainfall, damaging wind gusts and frequent lightning.  Flooding could be an issue in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
