U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will present a special naturalization ceremony at the Atlanta field office July 2.

The Deputy Secretary for the United States Department of Homeland Security, John Tien, will administer the Oath of Allegiance. The keynote speaker for the event will be Senator Jon Ossoff.The prospective new U.S. citizens will be presented by District Director Denise Frazier, who will serve as the event’s mistress of ceremonies.This is one of many ceremonies throughout the U.S. to be celebrated in honor of Independence Day.

USCIS encourages new U.S. citizens to share their naturalization photos on social media using the hashtag #NewUSCitizen.

USCIS naturalized approximately 625,000 people in fiscal year 2020. Many of them applied using USCIS online tools. More than seven million people have applied online for immigration benefits. To file online, individuals must first create a USCIS online account at https://myaccount.uscis.gov/users/sign_up.
