AdventHealth Georgia has announced the appointment of Marcy Cent, MBA, as its new director of oncology services. In this role, Cent will oversee the continued development and expansion of comprehensive cancer care programs across the region, ensuring that patients can receive high-quality treatment close to home.
Cent has played a key role in the creation of the new AdventHealth Cancer Pavilion in Rome, and she has also helped guide oncology strategies in Gordon and Murray Counties, where expanded access to care will allow more patients and families to benefit from AdventHealth’s whole-person, faith-based approach to healing.
With more than 20 years of healthcare consulting experience, including over a decade dedicated specifically to oncology program development, Cent brings deep expertise in strategic planning, physician collaboration, and system growth. She has provided advisory support to physicians and hospital systems across the Southeast, helping organizations improve services and achieve long-term goals.
Cent previously served in leadership roles at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Piedmont Healthcare, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fairfield University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
Originally from New York, Cent has lived in Georgia for nearly 30 years and now resides here with her husband and two children. AdventHealth leaders say her commitment to patient-centered care and excellence aligns perfectly with the organization’s mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ and deliver compassionate, whole-person care to every patient
