Fifth-grade students from every school in the county visited the Chattooga County Ag building for “Ag Day” on Tuesday of this week.  The trip is a tradition for fifth-graders and exposes them to Georgia’s number one industry – agriculture.  It also shows the students the vital roll that agriculture plays in Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia.  The event is hands-on and allows the students to ask questions and learn more about agriculture here at home and across the state.  There were around 300 students that attended the event on Tuesday.
