Anheuser-Busch, a leading American brewer and maker of iconic beer brands including Michelob ULTRA, Busch Light, Budweiser, and more, today announced a significant $9.2 million investment in its Cartersville, Georgia brewery. This latest upgrade is part of the company’s ongoing Brewing Futures initiative, designed to fuel increased production of its fast-growing brands and create and sustain U.S. manufacturing jobs.
The Cartersville Brewery, established in 1993, has received over $230 million in investments from Anheuser-Busch since 2020. The company has invested nearly $2 billion in its 100 U.S. facilities over the past five years and remains committed to being a key economic driver in Georgia and the leader in the American brewing industry.
“We’re thrilled to expand our capacity in Cartersville, enabling us to produce more of our iconic brands like Michelob ULTRA, the #1 fastest-growing beer brand in the U.S.,” said Brendan Whitworth, CEO, Anheuser-Busch. “Our consistent investments in our people, breweries, and communities allow us to drive local economic growth where we live and work, while providing more American-made products to our customers and consumers.”
Michelob ULTRA, the official beer of Major League Soccer, the PGA Tour, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has been the #1 top-selling beer in the Southeast U.S. The brand’s unparalleled growth is fueled by its commitment to an active lifestyle and demand for a lighter, great-tasting beer.
“Anheuser-Busch’s latest investment in its Cartersville Brewery underscores its dedication to boost the economic vitality of our local community and Georgia overall,” said Georgia State Representative Matthew Gambill (R-Cartersville). “We are grateful for their support to drive job creation and ensure Cartersville continues to play a lead role in industry innovation and growth.”
The Cartersville Brewery currently produces 48 different products, which are shipped to 32 U.S. states. The latest investment will expand the brewery’s capacity, ultimately bringing more high-quality products to customers and consumers while supporting local communities and jobs.
Anheuser-Busch’s Brewing Futures initiative supports American manufacturing through three key pillars:
Creating and sustaining manufacturing jobs
Advancing technical skills training
Strengthening manufacturing career opportunities for veterans
With this latest investment, Anheuser-Busch further solidifies its commitment to the community and the state of Georgia, driving local economic growth while meeting increased consumer demand for its popular brands.
