Congratulations to 18 nurse residents at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center who recently completed the 6-month nurse residency program.

The residents are nursing school graduates with less than 6 months experience. They participated in ancillary and clinical immersions throughout the hospital and took classes focusing on:

• Work/life balance

• Critical thinking skills

• Conflict resolution

• Effective communication strategies

• Professional development

Each participant also followed a Professional Development Pathway that enhances professional growth in the clinical setting.
