Champions for Children

Reminder!  Tomorrow is the last day to purchase tickets for the Champions for Children Luncheon!!

The Boys and Girls Club Chattooga Unit will be hosting their annual “Champions for Children” luncheon at the club on Thursday, March 24 from 11:30 am – 1 pm.  This year’s speaker is Inky Johnson, former football player for University of Tennessee.

Inky Johnson is a former University of Tennessee player with a career that seemed to point toward the possibility of being drafted into the NFL.  An injury on the field during his junior year in 2006 left his right arm completely paralyzed and almost took his life.  Inky survived, but lost all possibilities of a professional football career.  His story of triumph over tragedy and his desire to use his story to help others is something we all need to hear.

Individual tickets – $25, includes one seat at a table and lunch

For more information on Inky and his amazing story, click on the link below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHHgsT358Rc

If you have any questions or need to purchase tickets, please give me a call at 706-857-4033 (Chattooga Chamber Office) or email me at skeziah@chattoogacounty.org.
