Please come out and show support for the 9/10 Summerville Chiefs as they host a BBQ fundraiser this Saturday, March 23 from 10 am until 1 pm at the Fit Pit in Summerville. All proceeds will help the team cover the costs of uniforms. Sack lunches will be sold for $6.00 each with a sandwich, chips, pickle spear and a drink.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GADOT) has advised they will be down to one lane on Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge on Monday, March 11th. Please plan on using alternate routes or expect delayed travel time. It is still undetermined on when normal travel will resume.

Taylor’s Ridge has been reopened due to the GADOT not having enough materials to complete repairs this evening. All lanes are open.
Per the GADOT, On Highway 27, Taylor’s Ridge will be closed for the next three hours. All traffic will be down to one lane. Please allow extra time for your commute or plan an alternate route. Once the Ridge has been repaired and reopened, we will update.

The Georgia DOT is preparing to close one lane of traffic on Highway 27 at Taylor’s Ridge to do more repairs on the northbound lane. Traffic will be down to one lane. Expect delays.

Spring Creek Rd from 1465 to 1759 will be down to one lane until sometime tomorrow. The road buckled up due to the rain. Halls Valley Rd is expected to open today @ 3 pm.
