A two-vehicle accident took the life of a driver on Highway 27 between LaFayette and Trion on Thursday afternoon. Details have not been released from the Georgia State Patrol Post in LaFayette. The accident took place in the southbound lane near the intersection of Highway 27 and Midway Drive just above the Walker / Chattooga County line. Another accident was reported in the same vicinity involving two separate vehicles. Reports have indicated that the fatality was a Chattooga County resident.
