GDOT Restricts Construction Lane Closures Labor Day Weekend

To ease traffic congestion statewide during the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend, the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is suspending interstate highway construction-related lane closures from noon Friday, September 4 through 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Lane closures will also be limited on major state routes that directly serve key tourist and recreation centers.

Chattooga Courthouse Closed Until Noon Today

The Chattooga County Courthouse will be closed until noon today.  According to local judicial officials, two staff members at the courthouse have tested positive for COVID-19.  The courthouse will be closed on Thursday morning for cleaning, according to CDC protocol.
