Burglary Investigation In Lyerly

On Tuesday of this week, the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office was called regarding a burglary complaint on Georgia Avenune in Lyerly.  The complainant told a responding deputy that someone had been inside her residence and had take a circular saw from the residence when no one was home.  The complainant could’t provide the names of any possible suspects.  The incident was turned over to an investigator.

Animal Advocates Offering Free Pet Food To Those In Need

Animal Advocates of Chattooga County will have donated cat and dog food available to the public this Saturday, August 8th, from 11 am to 2 pm (as long as supplies last). This food is free to families in need. The location is Connect City Church on Hwy 48 next to BB&T bank.  Animal Advocates says, “We apologize we are not able to provide our on-going pet food bank at this time.”
