The family of a missing Valley Head, Alabama girl is planning a candlelight prayer vigil on Sunday.

Makenna Joy Purvis has been missing for several weeks.  She was last seen on September 26, 2022 on Inspec Drive in Valley Head.  Makenna is nineteen-years-old with red hair, hazel eyes, and weighs between 100-120 lbs.   She is a former employee of Lucky’s Supermarket in Menlo.
Purvis’ family says, “We ask that you continue to be on the look out and stay in prayer as we hope and pray for her safe return. Please Contact the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office
(256-845-3801 or call 911) with any information. With many long days and nights of searching and questioning, we unfortunately do not have any more information or answers of Makenna’s whereabouts. However we know the power of prayer and we know the power of prayer in numbers! We ask that anyone and everyone willing to join us please do! ALL are welcome! We know that on a short notice that you may not be able to join in person, we ask that you pray wherever you are! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!”
The candlelight prayer vigil will be held at Mentone Community Church on Sunday, October 30th at 6 PM (Central Time).
