GRAMMY® Award-winning and Country Music Hall of Fame members, The Oak Ridge Boys, will once again celebrate the Christmas season with their timeless hits and holiday classics on their 2019 Down Home Christmas Tour. The Oak Ridge Boys will perform over thirty-one concerts and are set to kick-off on November 13th in Branson, Missouri, playing in 28 cities and 14 states across the U.S. In conjunction with the tour, the Oaks’ latest Christmas album, Down Home Christmas, produced by Dave Cobb, will be released by Lightning Rod Records/Thirty Tigers on October 25, 2019.
Last night at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee the Peach Pickers honored country music legend Bill Anderson with the Georgia Music Foundation’s “Flame Keeper” award. The annual award is presented to someone who has impacted Georgia music. Bill Anderson, a University of Georgia graduate, started his career in music as a disc jockey in Georgia and has long kept in touch with his Georgia roots.


It has been twenty years since June Jam was held in Fort Payne. From the early 1980’s to the late 1990’s the event drew thousands of people from all over the United States to neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama for the music festival hosted by country super-group Alabama. While June Jam may be a thing of the past, the group is still inviting people to come to Fort Payne during the month of June. This Thursday-Sunday, Alabama will host “Fan Appreciation Week.”
Baillie & the Boys, gained prominence in the late 1980s as the trio (Kathie Baillie, Michael Bonagura, and Alan LeBoeuf) first found work singing harmony vocals on singles for Ed Bruce, Dan Seals, and Randy Travis, and Bonagura co-wrote Marie Osmond’s single “There’s No Stopping Your Heart”. In 1987, Baillie & the Boys were signed to a record deal with RCA Records. Their self-titled album was released that year, producing three Top 20 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles charts. Turn The Tide, their second album, was released a year later. It produced four consecutive Top 10 hits on the country charts, including “(Wish I Had A) Heart of Stone”, their highest-charting single.

Two time CMA Male Vocalist Of The Year, and GRAMMY-winning country music artist Lee Greenwood celebrates the 35th anniversary this week of the release of his signature hit song, the patriotic “God Bless The USA.” The song first appeared on his 1984 album, You’ve Got a Good Love Comin, and spent 37 weeks on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, becoming a Top 10 Hit.
