A Dalton man faces charges following his arrest on Turner Bend Road in Coosa this past week.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old William Thomas Love gained access to a 1996 GMC van on December 7 on Haywood Valley Road in Armuchee.
It was believed he was about to steal from the vehicle but he ran away when police arrived.
Love is charged with entering an auto, criminal trespass, criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor, obstruction of officers, and a parole violation.

According to a press release from the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, on December 5, 2024, Christopher Bullock was found guilty of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony. His trial started on December 2, 2024, presided over by Judge Don Thompson. The evidence showed that on October 5, 2023, Bullock shot his girlfriend, Tammy Cropper, multiple times and then shot himself. Cropper’s grandson discovered Bullock afterward. The investigation revealed Bullock’s gun was used, and surveillance showed no one else entered the apartment. Bullock confessed to shooting himself and had motives linked to his failed relationships and job loss. After 20 minutes of deliberation, the jury convicted him, and he was sentenced to life in prison without parole. District Attorney Clayton M. Fuller thanked law enforcement for their work in seeking justice.
