Chattooga County Schools will make important changes to its Summer Feeding Program starting June 13, 2025, in response to community feedback. School Nutrition Director Brandie Wooten  announced that children will no longer need to stay on-site to eat. Instead, there will be three meal pick-up locations providing a week’s worth of meals. Families can collect meals on Fridays at Dowdy Park, Trion Veterans Memorial Park, and Fairway Recreation Center from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. An adult can pick up meals for children without them present. There will be no service from June 9-12. You can read the complete announcement below.
