Get ready for a night of furry fun and spooky cinema as the Chattooga County Animal Rescue and Shelter announces its inaugural “Halloween Movie Night,” a fundraising event set to enchant families and their four-legged friends alike. All proceeds from the evening will directly benefit the shelter, providing crucial support for animals in need.
The Halloween festivities will take place on Saturday, October 25th, at the Summerville Agricultural Center, located at 33 Middle School Rd, Summerville, GA 30747.
The evening kicks off early for canine enthusiasts with a Dog Costume Contest. Starting at 6:00 PM, attendees are invited to line up their creatively costumed canines for a chance to win. At 7:00 PM, judges will announce the winners, awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons for the most imaginative and adorable pet outfits.
Following the friendly competition, moviegoers can settle in for a special screening of Tim Burton’s stop-motion animated classic, “Frankenweenie” from 8 PM – 9:30 PM. “The Adams Family” movie will be shown from 10 PM until 11:30 PM.
Admission to both the movie and participation in the dog costume contest is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Chattooga County Animal Shelter. For more information or to inquire about tickets, interested individuals can call the shelter at 706-857-0679.
