Students from across Chattooga County recently attended the Georgia FFA Convention thanks to the generous support of the Chattooga County Farm Bureau. Students from Chattooga High School, Menlo, Lyerly, and Summerville Middle School participated in the three-day event, immersing themselves in the state’s largest agricultural gathering.

The Georgia FFA Convention, a highly anticipated annual event, brings together students from across the Peach State to celebrate agriculture and explore future opportunities. Chattooga County students actively engaged in various aspects of the convention, including attending a college and career fair to explore educational and professional pathways, participating in awards sessions recognizing excellence in agricultural endeavors, and serving as voting delegates, contributing to the organization’s governance. Students were also inspired by keynote speakers who shared their experiences and insights into the agricultural industry.

The convention provides a valuable platform for FFA members to connect with peers, industry professionals, and educators, fostering personal and professional growth. The Georgia FFA Convention also included state competitions, a career and trade show showcasing the latest advancements in agriculture, and the election of a new team of FFA State Officers.

The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of agriculture in Georgia and the vital role FFA plays in developing the next generation of agricultural leaders.
