Chattooga County families needing extra support with Thanksgiving meals are encouraged to arrive early for today’s 9th Annual Home for the Holidays Food Distribution, hosted by Chattooga Family Connection.
The large drive-thru event takes place today, Thursday, November 20th, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Community Resource Center of Chattooga, located at 50 Eleanor Avenue in Summerville.
Organizers stress that this distribution is specifically for Chattooga County residents who may need assistance preparing holiday meals this week. Families will receive essential food items and helpful resources to support them through the Thanksgiving season.
Parking opens at 12 noon, and attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive early to help with traffic flow and ensure smooth distribution. Each vehicle will be asked to complete a short survey upon arrival.
Volunteers are also reminded to check in early, with arrival time set for 10 a.m. to help prepare the site and assist with setup.
Chattooga Family Connection encourages all local households in need to take part in today’s event, which will continue until 3 p.m. or while supplies last.
