Deputy Commander Caine Railey, Commander DeWayne Brown, Deputy Michael Howard, Dade County Sheriff Ray Cross
The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force recently presented their inaugural “Commander Patrick Doyle Officer of the Year Award.” The award is named in honor of the late commander of the drug task force who passed away last year.
Current Drug Task Force Commander DeWayne Brown said, “A little over a year ago I remember listening to a letter that was left by the late Commander Patrick D. Doyle after his passing stating ‘don’t worry about me, everyone will forget my name in a couple years’. That hit us all hard at the Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force. To honor his legacy, we decided to make a prestigious award after him so his name will never be forgotten. This Officer of the Year Award was open to all Law Enforcement Agencies in Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker Counties.”
Brown said, “After numerous nominations and careful consideration, we are proud to present the first recipient of the Commander Patrick D. Doyle 2019 Officer of the Year Award to Deputy Michael Howard of the Dade County Sheriff Office. Thank you for your service to our country, community, and fellow Officers.”
