It is the final week of regular season high school football for both local teams. The Trion Bulldogs played on Thursday night at home at Sam R. McCain Stadium, hosting the Bowden Red Devils. The Chattooga Indians will be on the road tonight to take on Coosa.
In last night’s game Bowdon jumped out early and never looked back, delivering a resounding 63-0 victory over Trion.
The win keeps Bowdon’s hot streak alive — their fifth consecutive victory — and improves their record to 8-2. Over those five wins, Bowdon averaged an impressive 45.0 points per game, underscoring their potent offense as they close the regular season strong and, with it, claim the Region Championship in Friday night’s action. The Bulldogs will get two weeks off before entering postseason play, providing time to regroup and prepare for the next chapter of their campaign.
The Chattooga Indians hit the road for their final regular-season contest against Coosa. Friday night’s game will be broadcast on WZQZ with radio coverage on the same station, and fans can also watch live on the WZQZ Facebook Page.
