A 63-year-old woman from Gaylesville, Alabama, was arrested on drug-related charges earlier this week following a routine traffic stop on Highway 411 near Dodd Boulevard. According to records from the Floyd County Jail, Ethel Frances Jeter was pulled over by Floyd County Police when a K9 officer alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in her vehicle. During a subsequent search of Jeter’s car, authorities discovered a quantity of Alprazolam pills located in her purse, which were not stored in their original container. As a result of the findings, Jeter now faces multiple charges, including possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drugs not in their original container, and allowing an unlicensed individual to operate a vehicle. Jeter’s case underscores ongoing concerns regarding drug possession and vehicle safety in the region. Jeter is currently being held at Floyd County Jail.
