Friends, family, and the community celebrated the graduation of 25 students from the Basic POST Certification Class at Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Gordon County Campus. This program trains graduates to become entry-level police officers certified by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council. The ceremony featured guest speaker Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk, who encouraged the graduates to strive for excellence and be agents of positive change in their communities. The program director highlighted the class’s record size, while students received awards for marksmanship and academic achievement. Graduates pledged to uphold their oath of honor, promising to uphold their integrity, responsibilities, and the law.
