Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) students excelled at the 2025 SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference, Feb. 20-22, in Atlanta. GNTC competed in 14 categories and took home three gold medals and two silver medals.

State gold medal winners will represent GNTC and the State of Georgia in the national contest June 23-27 in Atlanta.

The students tested their abilities in trade, technical, skilled service and health occupations. GNTC sent two teams to the competition; most GNTC contestants competed in individual events. Nineteen students represented GNTC at the competition.

According to SkillsUSA, the organization serves more than 413,000 career and technical education students and instructors annually and has served 15 million members since 1965. The organization has chapters in middle schools, high schools and college/postsecondary institutions nationally.
