The annual Halloween Candy Walk in Summerville will be held three days before Halloween on Saturday, October 28th.  The Candy Walk will take place at the open air pavilion, located on East Washington Street and in the Summerville Streetscape Area.  There will also be a costume contest, the Pumpkin Palooza, a Pumpkin Derby and a Pumpkin Contest.  The Halloween Candy Walk is sponsored by the Trion-Summerville Optimist Club in conjunction with Summerville Main Street.  You can see a press release about the day’s events below:

Pumpkin Palooza & The Halloween Candy Walk in Downtown Summerville Is Great Fun For The Entire Family! Youth Can Enter The Costume Contest at 10:30AM Inside The Open Air Pavilion, Bring Your Decorated Pumpkins To Enter In The Youth Decorated Pumpkin Contest at 10:15 AM for People’s Choice Voting Inside The Summerville Depot – Announcement Of Winners at 2:15 PM. Children Will Delight In The Halloween Candy Walk From 11AM-2PM. Food & Craft Vendors Will On Site At The Summerville Depot And Families Can Welcome In The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum Steam Engine Passenger Train Around 1PM Spectators Can Also Cheer On Pumpkin Racers In The Pumpkin Derby Scheduled For 1:30PM, Special Musical Entertainment By The Summerville Song Farmers Chapter Throughout The Day. This Free Community Event Is Sponsored By Summerville Main Street , The Summerville Trion Optimist Club & The City of Summerville.
