A downtown Summerville church is inviting the public to a Chili Cook-Off next weekend.  Summerville First United Methodist Church will be hosting the event on Saturday, March 16th at 4 PM,  and is telling chili makers to “bring on the heat”.  The event is free to register and guests can get all the chili they want to eat for just $10 per person.  In addition, cornbread and toppings for the chili will be available – along with a dessert and drink.  All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the roof fund and other ministries of Summerville First United Methodist Church.  The event is open to all and everyone is invited to attend.
