Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute late Sunday night that ended with a man being shot at a residence on Highway 337 north of Chelsea, according to Sheriff Mark A. Schrader.

The call came in at approximately 9:30 p.m., and deputies were dispatched to the location after receiving a report that the dispute had escalated and a male had been shot. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not released.

Sheriff Schrader said the shooter remained on the scene and has been cooperative with deputies and investigators.

Authorities indicated that additional information will be released later as the investigation continues.
