North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (NGEMC) has announced the opening of its 2025-2026 Art Contest, inviting students from kindergarten through fifth grade across its seven-county service area to explore the vital role of electricity in their daily lives.
The contest, themed “Super Charged Learning – Show how electricity powers how you learn, play, and imagine at school,” encourages young artists to visualize and express how electricity fuels everything from classroom technology to recreational activities and imaginative playtime. This initiative aims to educate students on the importance of electricity while fostering creativity.
Students will compete in one of two age categories: kindergarten through second grade, and third through fifth grade. Each first-place student winner will receive a $50 gift card, and their respective classrooms will be awarded $200 for school supplies, providing a boost for educational resources.
The deadline for all entries is December 19, 2025. Winners will be announced in early 2026.
