A Summerville woman was arrested early Sunday morning after police discovered methamphetamine in her possession and she admitted to consuming both methamphetamine and Klonopin prior to the encounter. According to a Summerville Police Department report, officers were dispatched to Martin Street around 12:31 AM on April 6, 2025, in response to a call regarding a female walking along the roadway, reportedly behaving boisterously and using profanity. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the woman, identified as 24-year-old Brooklynn Moser.

The report states Moser appeared erratic, had difficulty standing still, and was speaking rapidly. When initially asked if she had consumed anything, Moser stated she had only consumed a “Buzz Ball” alcoholic beverage. After Moser emptied her pockets at the officer’s request, police conducted a search of her pockets and discovered a capsule-shaped container containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Moser initially claimed to not know what was in her pocket but gave consent for the officer to retrieve the item. Moser was then taken into custody and transported to the Chattooga County Jail.

While at the jail, Moser informed officers that she had consumed 0.3 grams of methamphetamine and an unknown quantity of Klonopin approximately 30 minutes before her arrest. She reportedly told officers she didn’t initially disclose the information because she didn’t think it was “necessary” as she engages in this behavior “all the time.” Due to concerns about her potential medical condition, EMS was dispatched to the jail. Moser consented to being evaluated by EMS and was released from police custody at that time. A field test conducted on a shard of the white crystalline substance confirmed it to be methamphetamine.

Police later took warrants out for Moser’s arrest on drug related charges.
